Meet Pauline Chiripanyanga, Minister of Women’s Social and Economic Development

Question 1 :-  Could you introduce yourself ?

 

My name is Honourable Pauline Chiripanyanga, Minister of Women’s Social and Economic Development  I am an educationist, farmer, entrepreneur, Founder and Director of Bridging Gaps Trust, Director Reocomm Energy Zimbabwe, US Africa Trade Council Zimbabwe Country Director , AU Ecosocc women, gender and development cluster chair, Global Goodwill Ambassador

 

Question 2 :- What is your vision of panafricanism ?

 

My vision of Pan-Africanism is to help create a better relationship with all African descent and foster collaborations, there by uplifting the lives of many. Educate all on the values of upholding culture. Help women and girls to take up leadership roles and be involved in decision making processes.

 

Question 3 :- Who is your favourite character in Panafrican history, and why?

 

My favourite character Pan-African History is former Ghanaian President Kwame Nkrumah who was a major advocate for unity of independent Africa and championed the quest for regional integration of the whole of the African continent.

 

Question 4  :-  With the onset of technology and investment in Africa, how do you see Africa in the 21st Century ?

 

With the onset of technology and investment in Africa, Africa in the 21st Century should innovate and go digital. Set up incubation and start up hubs, industrial parks, technology hubs, data centres, research and innovation hubs and build digital infrastructure.

 

Question 5 :- What are you planning to do in the future for the State of the African Diaspora?

 

POLICY FORMULATION TO ENSURE RECOGNITION, REPRESENTATION, DISTRIBUTION OF OPPORTUNITIES ACROSS THE CONTINENT SO WOMEN and GIRLS CAN HAVE EQUAL ACCESS TO RESOURCES AND OPPORTUNITIES -ADVOCACY AND LOBBYING TO ENSURE IMPLEMENTATION OF THE POLICIES IN HOST COUNTRIES MAINLY ELITE ADVOCACY BY ENGAGING GOVERNMENT OFFICIALS

– Implementation of empowerment projects across the continent to improve livelihoods
– Creating stronger relationships between women across the Continent
– Creating platform to network for all women and girls of the Continent
