With the aim of strengthening Africa through the Diaspora, and the Diaspora through Africa, the State of the African Diaspora has decided to set up a twinning policy between local communities of the Continent and the Diaspora.

Beyond the diplomatic relations that exist between States, these twinnings constitute a decentralized cooperation that will be promoted and facilitated by the international diplomatic network of the State of the African Diaspora.

The objective is twofold:

-to reinforce the pan-African awareness of the citizens of the Continent and the Diaspora;
-to promote economic, social or cultural exchanges between local authorities of different countries.
