FROM THE OFFICE OF THE PRIME MINISTER

18 September, 2022

To: The Magwenzi Family Members, Colleagues and Friends

On behalf of the State of the African Diaspora, we are extremely bereaved to hear today of the loss of our dear brother, friend and colleague, the SOAD Minister of Mines, Tamuka Magwenzi.

Tamuka Magwenzi was appointed as the SOAD Minister of Mines in December 2020.  SOAD then went on to sign an Agreement with his NGO, Bantu Heritage Trust to work in cooperation.

As a consequence of this new relationship SOAD was proud to fund and to make Bantu Heritage Trust the first beneficiary to receive the AK LUMI to develop its activities in the country.  Tamuka was a very hard working, dedicated and committed member of the SOAD Government and we shall miss him dearly.  We would also further express our deepest sympathies to Takunda Magwenzi, Tamuka’s brother who is a Member of Parliament for SOAD in India.

We convey our sincere, heartfelt and deepest condolences to the Magwenzi family members for the sudden loss of someone so precious and so cherished.   May the family, friends, neighbours and colleagues of Tamuka Magwenzi find the strength in the comforting of each other at this most difficult time and know that the outpouring of love and support is with you all.

We wish you all the courage to face the days ahead to remember and honour Tamuka and let us all keep and treasure the memories of him in our hearts forever.

A Service honouring the Memory of Tamuka Magwenzi shall be notified in due course.
