Our National Anthem

Our National Anthem –
Uhuru Africa! Uhuru Diaspora !

The history of this music started on July 1, 2022, when the “Hymn of Awale” was launched, on the occasion of the National Day of the State of the African Diaspora. The piece was composed by Patrice Gbéhi Tiecoura and performed with the musical band, “Echo d’Afrique”. It was financed by Mr. Bolou, Ambassador of SOAD, in order to support Mrs. Brigitte Decour, Ambassador of SOAD, whose mission is to promote Awalé at the international level, which she does with the support of Mr. Sidibe Nouhon, also Ambassador of SOAD.

The Prime Minister, Dr. Louis-Georges Tin, asked Ambassador Bolou if he would agree to cede the rights to the Hymn  of the Awalé to SOAD, so that it would become the National Anthem of SOAD.  Ambassador Bolou then readily accepted, especially since it was his wish from the very beginning, to make an Anthem for the State of the African Diaspora. The Prime Minister then expressed his deep gratitude to him.
