to build the capacity that strengthens community development and economic emergence needed to liberate the continent.

Question 3: Who is your favourite character in Pan African history, and why?

Simon Kimbangu. He fought against the colonisers for the independence of Congo and the surrounding countries. He also resisted for the liberation of the African continent at large. In the Congo traditional belief system, victory against oppression and slavery in Africa was not just a political struggle, but it had a spiritual aspect also. Simon Kimbangu was believed to be the messenger sent by God as a bearer of the spiritual power behind the liberation of the continent.

He is the African political prisoner who stayed incarcerated for the longest period in history. His activism spirit is still alive today in the hearts of many.

Question 4: With the onset of technology and investment in Africa, how do you see Africa in the 21st Century?

Considering all the benefits of circumstances the continent gives us the opportunity to wear a yellow hat of hope and optimism that this is the window period for Africa to emerge as a world economic power. Africa must have fair partnerships to leverage on existing knowledge and expertise in agriculture, industry, infrastructure, education, healthcare, etc… And to use this platform as a stepping stone for greater height. Africa must not start its development from ground zero relying on its own innovation. This progress must be combined with an unhindered desire to empower all people. The goal must be to build strong institutions, not powerful individuals nor countries; resulting in inclusive and stable healthy societies in the whole continent.

Question 5: What are you planning to do in the future for the State of the African Diaspora?

To become a selfless, committed and dependable leader, who will align with the aspirations of His Excellency the Prime Minister to implement the policies and resolutions of the State Of African Diaspora;

To participate in building health facilities for a prosperous continental development by SOAD and strengthen both Africa and the Diaspora in every aspect of life (physical, emotional, social, spiritual and intellectual) during this term of office.
