The Center for African Peace & Conflict Resolution (CAPCR) at California State University, Sacramento, invites individual paper and panel submissions for its 29th annual conference.

Theme: Peacebuilders/Peacemakers in Africa & Diaspora communities and nations: people, places and processes.

We welcome papers and panels featuring case studies, historical investigations, conceptual approaches and frameworks, comparative studies, and practitioner reflections. We are especially interested in papers/panels that address one or more aspects of the conference theme, both broadly and specifically.
The conference closing peace awards event on April 25, will be a fundraiser for the CAPCR’s new initiative for building the next generation of peace leaders: Africa Peace Fellows.
Registration:
Participants are responsible for paying the conference nonrefundable Early bird Registration fee of $120.00 USD (per person), payable upon the acceptance of their proposal. Add $10 after April 1st, 2020. Participants will be responsible for their travel costs (flight and lodging) and related conference costs.
The organizing committee welcomes individual paper and panel proposals, provided a panel does not exceed 4 presenters, in each panel.
For individual papers, no more than 2 authors/presenters will be accepted for each paper proposal. Each person is limited to only 2 presentations, as individual or co-presenter in the conference.
The abstract length is a maximum of 150 words in MS Word attachment or email text.
Please include the title, your name, current position, institution/ organization, mailing address, email, telephone and fax number.
You will be notified of the acceptance of your proposal by email, including registration, hotel, transportation, and other related information.
Selected abstracts will be published in the final conference program and should be of publishable quality.
Proposals and presentations in English are preferred, but we may be able to accommodate French speakers.
